Unable to register/authorise agent

I’ve installed the agent and it’s running but I can’t register an agent.

Setup:

  • macOS 12.3 (monterey)
  • chrome Version 100.0.4896.127 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Steps to replicate:

  • download agent (TestProject_Agent_3.5.0.pkg) and install
  • open application
  • click app icon in top menu bar and confirm “running” status
  • go to TestProject
  • register an agent

Expected result:
an agent is registered

Actual result:
Continually getting “agent not running” error and cannot proceed

Hi @elodesignco,
IS your mac SoC an M1 chip?
Also, please do the following to help us identify the issue:

  1. Restart your Agent
  2. Reproduce the issue you encountered
  3. Send us the agent logs of today for analysis to support@testproject.io .

You can download the logs and upload them here as shown below:

The MAC is 2.4GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. I’ve since learned that everything is installed properly and that the root issue is a CORS issue.

To get it to work I had to bypass the CORS issues, I need to launch Chrome from terminal using:
open -n -a /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --args --user-data-dir="/tmp/chrome_dev_test" --disable-web-security

This is 100% less than ideal.

just wondering if anyone has this problem?

Hi @elodesignco
I’m also facing the same issue in windows. Can you please let me know how to resolve this issue?
