ERROR: 'Couldn't connect to agent of device '

Error message appears when trying to ‘View Device’ of an iOS Simulator. (host/agent stats: XCode13; Monterrey macOS)

Thanks – unfortunately the error when trying to ‘View Device’ from the Agents list still occurs.

Please try the following:

  • Restart the TestProject agent.
  • Reboot the machine.
  • Make sure the correct Xcode version is set as default.
  • Reboot the simulator device (run the command: sudo xcrun simctl shutdown all).
  • Make sure you are using the latest agent. (3.4.2 at time of posting)

For some reason the Agent (which needed to be registered via ‘Copy This URL’ method) was appearing as RED, despite having been noted as ‘Running’, is now GREEN. Subsequently the issue seems to have been resolved. (To clarify: no particular step noted above or executed in addition is noted as being the solution for this specific occurrence).
