How to execute Addons/Actions from Tests
« on: July 30, 2018, 17:09:07 pm »
Hello,

My test task has the following steps:

Test – “Results vs Performance"
Use Action #1 Proxy from the Addon to search for random word (1)
Extract search time #1
Use Action #1 Proxy from the Addon to search for random word (2)
Extract search time #2
Compare search time and results amounts

My question is what is the proper way to insert Action #1 in to my test, since it is included in test steps?

In your example:

https://github.com/testproject-io/java-sdk-examples/tree/master/Web

you execute the action only from a runner file, there is no example how to do it from a test file.

Can you please direct me where to look this up?

Regards,

Nemanja

Hello,

TestHelper provided in the execute() method parameters has an
Code
executeProxy
method that you can use
Refer to this section https://github.com/testproject-io/java-sdk-examples/tree/master/Web#crowd-code--addon-proxy in the Web quick start guide.

Thanks.
