TestProject SDK / Get error installing the TestProject SDK for C#
« Last post by aden_collector on May 16, 2019, 15:38:06 pm »
I am trying to install the TestProject SDK using the following nuget command in Visual Studio 2017:

Install-Package TestProject.SDK -Version 0.50.0

I receive the following error:

Install-Package : Could not install package 'TestProject.SDK 0.50.0'. You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETFramework,Version=v4.6.1', but the package does not
contain any assembly references or content files that are compatible with that framework. For more information, contact the package author.

+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Install-Package], Exception
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : NuGetCmdletUnhandledException,NuGet.PackageManagement.PowerShellCmdlets.InstallPackageCommand

I have tried using .NET framework 4.5.2 and 4.6.1

I've also installed the following .NET software per the gitub site:

dotnet-sdk-2.2.204-win
dotnet-sdk=2.1.300-prview1-008174
dotnet-sdk-2.1.507-win
dotnet-runtime-2.1.11
dotnet-sdk-2.1604

Also I've installed the dependencies listed in the nuget page.

For another approach, I've downloaded the C# SDK solution on Github called TestProject.SDK.Examples.IOS.Test.

I've tried to build it but get the following error:

Package TestProject.SDK 0.50.0 is not compatible with netcoreapp1.1

In Project Properties, Target Framework, I can't select .NET Core 2.1 even though I've installed it.
From searching stackoverflow.com, this seems to be an issue with VS 2017.

General Questions / Allow to click on Browser popup (Notification)
« Last post by [email protected] on March 27, 2019, 07:11:55 am »
Hi,

It would be great if you please let me know how to click on browser notifications (as a part of steps) while executing the test?
A test browser instance always asks for the location popup even if the popup is allowed in browser. The problem is, during recording it is not appearing and cause to fail during execution.

Thanks and Regards
Sourav

Selenium / BDD framework on JavaScript based IDE
« Last post by Pavithra.bt on March 13, 2019, 15:07:02 pm »
Hi All,

I am new to this platform and would lie to apoologise you all if I am voilating your guidelines or rules.

Coming to the point, I am experienced in using Selenium using Java and can easily setup the environment and manage everything with respect to Java.

But, recently I changed my job and in my current company they want me to implement the Selenium using JavaScript. I am struggling a lot as its new to me and can't find any related documents. With some great difficulty I managed to implement Selenium on Atom IDE. Next thing is to implemengt the BDD framework using Cucumber. I am clueless on how to go ahead with it.

Request anybody in this group experienced in Selenium using JavaScript to help me in setting up the environment and also to suggest me the best technology & tools to implement. It would be appreciable if I get any step by step tutorial/documentation to follow.

Thanks,

Pavithra.

General Questions / Re: How To Install TestProject MAC
« Last post by amit.yahav on March 03, 2019, 08:04:45 am »
Hi jercram,

This TestProject agent that you've downloaded suppose to be installed and running on your machine in order to record and run tests with TestProject.
Once this agent is installed and running, go to https://app.testproject.io and start create/run your tests.

If you're not sure that the agent was successfully installed, please try to find the TestProject file located in: ~/Library/Application Support/TestProject/Agent

Appium / Re: Full control option is not available in Appium with ios
« Last post by Marat Strelets on January 24, 2019, 17:51:46 pm »
Using TestProject, you can view device screen and have a full control over it.
The only thing that needs to be done is uploading a certificate and a provisioning profile to TestProject.
Please refer to your Account -> iOS Configuration section for details.
